For more than 40 years I have personally been involved in teaching others to do biblical counselling at Christian Counselling and Educational Foundation (CCEF). the Westminster Theological Seminary, Biblical Seminary and The Master’s University and Seminary. During that whole period of time I have also been doing extensive counselling. By this time I have certainly counselled thousands of people. Of all the thousands of hours of counselling I have done I think I can say that well over 60% of the counselling I have done has involved counselling marriages and families. And I am sure that most other biblical counsellors would say the same thing. Most of my counselling efforts have been with Christians who were having various problems in their marriages and families, but on occasion I have had people who were not Christians come for counselling and it has been my joy to present the Gospel to them and then give biblical, practical counsel to them that would help them to resolve their marital, family difficulties. Helping Christians to solve their marriage and family problems or prevent them from occurring are extremely important issues for our churches and church members and attenders. Consequently, we have decided to focus the teaching in our August and October ACBC conferences for 2018 on key issues that will assist individuals and churches, pastors and parishioners to develop the kinds of marriages and families that will bring great joy to people so that they will have more biblical, joyful, personally satisfying and God glorifying marriages and families. We encourage you to register and attend and to also encourage others to do the same.
